Marjamäki

This group collects together data related to the Marjamäki microgrid area in Lempäälä, Finland. The microgrid was developed in the LEMENE project. The microgrid has a 20 kV network and it is connected to a 110 kV distribution network. The microgrid includes various distributed energy resources: two solar power plants, two battery energy storage systems (BESS), two fuel cells and six gas engines. All these resources are connected to the 20 kV network through 20/0.4 kV-transformers. The rated powers of the solar power plants are 2 MW. The maximum power for BESS1 is 1.6 MW and storage capacity 1.3 MWh and for BESS2 the power is 2.4 MW and storage capacity is 1.6 MWh. Total power of the fuel cells is 130 kW and the gas engines produce 8.1 MW in total. The microgrid is capable of operating as an island without supply from the public distribution network.
