Kampusareena
This group collects together data sets related to the Kampusareena building. Kampusareena is a modern office building that provides spaces for the personnel of companies, university staff and students, and e.g, for the library of the whole campus. The building was completed in 2015 and is located on the Hervanta campus of Tampere University. Its total area is 16 000 square meters spread out over 8 floors.
The building uses district heating and is cooled with two cooling machines with the electrical compressor powers of 170 kW and 226 kW. Ventilation of the building consumes around 100 kW at maximum. Other electrical loads of the building include two elevators (max. 7 kW each), eight electric car charging spots (max. 22 kW each) and appliances used by tenants (max. 350 kW). Additionally, the building has 57 kW solar power plant. The building is connected to a medium voltage distribution network through 20/0.4 kV transformer. The building automation system manages ventilation, heating and cooling of the building. The system involves thousands of data points including indoor conditions of individual spaces, e.g. temperature and CO2 concentration, air flows and set points for pumps. The electricity consumption of the tenants is measured with numerous simple power meters and a couple of more advanced power meters are located at the main distribution boards. Additionally, nine power quality meters, called eQL Quality Meters, were installed at the major loads of the building. These meters offer measured data of various electrical characteristics even with 100 millisecond time interval.
Most of the data in this group is owned by University Properties of Finlan (SYK). See the data owner of each dataset to check if that particular data is owned by SYK. Data owned by SYK is divided into two categories sensitive (unfiltered) and non sensitive (filtered). Sensitive data is related to the tenants of Kampusareena and is present in the building automation data set. In the available measurements list sensitive data is market as confidential. Different conditions apply with sensitive and non-sensitive data:
- Non-sensitive data can be used freely in research and education use cases. Commercial usage has to be negotiated with University Properties of Finland.
- sensitive data can be used only by persons designated by the project leader. Data handling must be done in accordance with the information security policies of Tampere University.
